Richard C. Slaski

Richard Chester Slaski, age 79, passed away April 19, 2022.

Richard was the beloved husband of Dolores Slaski for 53 years; loving father of the late David Slaski, Michael Slaski, Sharon (Nickolas Schuchard) Slaski, Ken "Mudd" (Alana) Slaski, Thomas Slaski, and Stephen Slaski; devoted grandfather of Rachael, Jessica, Justin, Lea, Evan, Katelyn, Lily D., Maverick, and Bonnie; and dear father-in-law of Camille Slaski.

Richard loved nature and the outdoors, except for the snow. He loved sunsets and even had a special word for the color in-between pink and orange in a sunset: "Porange". Richard was a fan of Disney. The kids fondly remember being read Scrooge McDuck stories growing up. He was a classic movie fan and a sports fan. He loved watching the Detroit Tigers and wrestling. Richard liked to get away from the hustle of the day to day and vacationed most often to Las Vegas and Mackinac Island. Above all, he loved his family and nurtured the tight bonds of family within it. He was very proud that his family was very tight knit and saw each other almost every day.

A private family service and burial will take place presently. Richard’s life will be celebrated by family and friends and his memory will live on always.
