Marlene K. (Schneider) Stirnweis

Marlene K. Stirnweis, age 88, passed away Mar 19, 2021.

Marlene was the beloved wife of Erwin A. J. Stirnweis; loving mother of the late Cameron, Jeffery, Shari, Sandra, and Virginia Stirnweis; and dear sister of the late Richard Schneider.

Marlene was very active at her church, St. Patrick Episcopal Church in Madison Heights. Not only in her attendance there but with the charities the church was involved with, such as the Crossroads Food Pantry. Over the years she was also involved with the Campfire Girls, Cub Scouts, and many other activities. Her caring and giving nature truly went before her, wherever she went. One of her great passions in life was to travel and experience the world around her.  Marlene was blessed to have visited all seven continents, and loved every trip. More than anything, she enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, laughing, loving, and giving.

Visitation Monday, May 24, from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at David Wysocki Funeral Home, 29440 Ryan Road, Warren. In-state Tuesday, May 25, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 10:00 a.m. St. Patrick Episcopal Church, 1434 13 Mile Road, Madison Heights, Michigan.

The church is requiring all attendees to wear masks. 

For the funeral home, the current mask mandate for indoor gatherings requires us to make a good faith effort to make sure that unvaccinated people wear a mask, so please bring confirmation that you are vaccinated if you wish to not wear a mask at the funeral home. Also, our current capacity is 25 people in our chapel at any one time so please be patient and respectful as we make sure everyone gets a chance to pay their respects to Marlene and her family.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Marlene's name may be made to St. Patrick Episcopal Church's Ministry Fund or to there Interfaith Volunteer Caregivers Fund (please make all checks to St. Patrick's and specify in the memo line to which fund you are giving to), 1434 E.
