Lucille (Halanski) Yankee

Lucille F. Yankee, age 89, passed away peacefully in her Warren, MI home on January 4, 2020.

Lucille was the beloved wife of the late Ervin Yankee; loving mother of Dwaine Yankee, Judy Mekjian, Patricia (Mark) Weir, and Charles (Nina) Yankee; devoted grandmother of Nicholas Mekjian, Jessica Yankee, Andrew Yankee, and Jennifer Weir; and dear sister of Victoria Sivec and Roman (Dee) Halanski.

Above all in life, Lucille loved being a wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.  She loved her family and put everything she had into caring for them.  When she was not taking care of someone in the family, you could often find her at the bowling alley with her sister, Victoria.  She had many hobbies, but she loved to go bowling the best.  

Visitation for Lucille will be held Tuesday, January 7, from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at David Wysocki Funeral Home, 29440 Ryan Road, Warren, Michigan.  The funeral service will be the following day Wednesday, January 8, starting at 12:30 p.m. with a gathering hour starting at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home.  Interment will take place immediately following the service at Roseland Park Cemetery, Berkley, Michigan.
