Joyce Marie Ouimet of Sterling Heights passed away December 14, 2021 in Auburn Hills, MI. Joyce was born May 8, 1935 in Detroit, Michigan. She was the first child of Joseph Cristofori and Gladys (Marie Roberts) Cristofori. Her surviving siblings include; Carol Tonski (Lester), Joanne Baker (Bob), Susan Kuhn (David), and Louie Cristofori (Susan Berger).

Joyce married the love of her life, Richard Ouimet in May 1955 and four children were born; Richard Rowe (Linda), Loren Joseph, Kimberley Joyce, and Daunielle Janine. Joyce was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years; Richard Ouimet in 2006 and her son, Loren J Ouimet in 2019.

Joyce Ouimet loved family and will be truly missed by her six grandchildren; Charlyne Lees (Troy), Mikel Nassar (Samantha), Loren R Ouimet (Kristen), Janine Nassar, Richard Nassar (Andrea), Shane Ouimet. She leaves behind six great grandchildren; Gavin Lees, Rayna Nassar, Vincent Ballard, Emma Nassar, Tristan Lees and Landon Ouimet. Growing up, the Ouimet and Cristofori families were very close and Joyce will be missed by the numerous nieces, nephews, friends and special people in her life.

As a young mother, Joyce was a talented seamstress and made many of the children’s clothing. Joyce was a gifted artist, who loved oil painting where she won numerous awards. Her talent extended to many kinds of art media and crafts. She was very proud of being named the first regional saleswoman of her time. She was co-owner of Nova Computer with her sons. For the majority of her life, Joyce, resided in Sterling Heights or “House on Ryan” as it was known to family and friends. She loved travel, gardening, golfing, casino outings with family and friends and socializing. She possessed a unique prescience to all who knew her. She is loved and will be missed dearly.

A memorial celebrating the life of Joyce Ouimet will be held at a date yet to be determined.
