Etheldreda T. (Seelbinder) Burkwitch

Etheldreda T. Burkwitch, Age 92. passed away peacefully on August 24, 2022, surrounded by family.  Known affectionately as ‘Audrey’, she was born in Edinburgh, Scotland to Clarence and Mary Seelbinder and came to the United States with her mother and sister, Elizabeth Parks (who predeceased her) as a young girl. She was the beloved wife of Nathan Burkwitch for 65 years and devoted mother to her son, Robert J. Burkwitch (who predeceased her), daughters Terese (Lambert) Scalvini, Anne Burkwitch and Michele (Tony) Troschinetz. Proud grandmother to Alyssa and Anthony (Jenni) Scalvini and Ariane, Nicola and Lucas Troschintez. Audrey was a classically trained singer whose voice could light up a room. She enjoyed gardening, playing the piano and her beloved singing. She touched everyone she met with her kindness and her sweet and gentle spirit. She will be truly missed but will live on in our hearts forever.

Instate Wednesday, August 31, from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. Matthias Catholic Church, 12311 19 Mile Road, Sterling Heights, Michigan. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township, Michigan.
