Charles Bernheardt

Charles Bernheardt, age 84, passed away March 12, 2021.

Charles was the beloved husband of Janice Bernheardt; loving father of Todd Fox, Joel Bernheardt, Dawn (Adrian) Green, and Susan (Scott) Blomberg; devoted grandfather of Emily Bernheardt, Kate (Daniel) Goodwin, Amanda Bernheardt, Brian Bernheardt, Alexa Blomberg, and Adyson Green; and proud great-grandfather of Maria Goodwin, Eden Goodwin, and Xander Bakeman.

Chuck loved his family, country, God and church. He never knew a stranger-he was friendly and would talk to anyone. He had a story for everything and loved Marine stories the best. He modeled a hard work ethic for his kids as he provided for his family working for the City of Southfield. The family had 9-1-1 DAD programmed to call at any given moment, and he would do whatever was needed. His kid’s, grandkid’s and great-grandkid’s accomplishments made him proud. His church was his social group and loved being a part of the Senior Saints. Going up north was a favorite spot for him, and his family has many fond memories of time with him there-especially when he was Yogi Bear at Jellystone Park. This Old Marine will be missed. A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. noon on Saturday, March 20, at Faith Baptist Church of Warren, 26510 Schoenherr Road, Warren, Michigan. A gathering time prior to the service will start at 11:00 a.m.

Donations in his name would be appreciated to go to the Faith Baptist Church of Warren's Building Fund.
