Barbara A. (Szymanski) Usakowski

Barbara A. Usakowski, age 84, passed away May 31, 2021.

Barbara was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Usakowski; loving mother of Philip (Veronica) Usakowski, the late Robert Usakowski, and John (Cyndi) Usakowski; grandmother of 6 and great-grandmother of 3; dear sister of Robert (Karen) Szymanski and the late Larry (the late Cookie) Szymanski; and niece of Theresa Tyll. She was also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Barbara first worked at Chrysler until she became a mom. When her kids were older she worked part-time at K-Mart and St. Louise Church. Barbara was very active with her husband Joe in Cub Scouts and baseball, especially when her boys were growing up.  All the kids affectionately knew her as Mrs. Joe. She was a wonderful wife and a loving mom.  Barbara was also very active at her church, St. Louise de Marillac Church, and was a founding member of the parish.

Visitation Saturday, June 5, and Sunday, June 6, from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. both evenings at David Wysocki Funeral Home, 29440 Ryan Road, Warren, Michigan. Funeral Mass 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 7, at St. Louise de Marillac Church, 2500 12 Mile Road, Warren, Michigan.

Family requested that all visitors to the funeral home wear masks while visiting inside the funeral home. St. Louise requires all that come to the Funeral Mass to also be masked. Current limits on capacity at the funeral home states that we are limited to 45 visitors at any one time. Please be patient so we can make sure that everyone gets to pay their respects to Barbara and her family.
