Anne (Johansen) Corneliussen

Anne Corneliussen, age 90, passed away November 9, 2022.

Anne was the beloved wife of George Corneliussen, who passed away November 27, 2021; loving mother of Paul (Joy) Corneliussen and Mary Ann Corneliussen; devoted grandmother of Kirsten (Alex Rosenau) Corneliussen, Sara Corneliussen, and Hanna Corneliussen; dear sister of the late Sven Johansen, the late Grethe Rassumussen, and the late Sannie Johansen; sister-in-law of the late Alice Gyldolm-Sealy and the late Fritz Gyldholm.

Anne and George had a sweet love affair that lasted over 64 years. They were devoted to each other until the end. And after he passed, she talked about their love as being as everlasting love.

Anne was known for her caring heart She was always there to help others in need, and despite the memories of the war, she truly loved life. During this past year, she had many wonderful moments with her family. Sharing memories from the past and enjoying each other's company. "Always live life, dance when you can, and why walk when you can run." She gave us the gift of courage even near the end. Each of us had a chance to say goodbye and each goodbye was different. Some goodbyes were felt with music, "Until We Meet Again, "; others held hands, while some sat quietly sharing a warm gaze. Her gift of courage to say goodbye to each in her own way is a precious gift for us all.

Anne's life will be celebrated by family and friends and her memory will live on in each of us forever.
