Shirley Lorraine Gray

February 10, 1956 — August 26, 2025

Shirley Lorraine Gray, a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on August 26, 2025, due to complications from a stroke and the heartbreak of losing her great-granddaughter. Born on February 10, 1956, Shirley was known for her kind heart, wild sense of humor, and her unwavering willingness to help those around her.

Shirley devoted much of her life to her family, finding immense joy in nurturing her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was deeply proud of Roxanne Cassone, Michelle Steele, and Adam (Jennifer) Bolin, as well as her grandchildren Danielle Cooper, Lea Turbish, Tony Cassone, Haylee Bryant, Liam Bryant, Jalen Brand, Breyana Brand, Jackson Steele, Mya Bolin, and Kyla Bolin. Her spirit lives on in her great-grandchildren, Julian, Draco, Jason, and Jasper, who brought her boundless joy and pride.

Over the years, Shirley built a life filled with cherished memories. Among the countless moments that her children hold dear, Roxanne reflects on the adventures spent at the beach with her mother, marveling at Shirley's strong will. Michelle fondly remembers the times shared listening to music and enjoying her famous chicken and broccoli casserole, recognizing how her mother's love knew no bounds. Adam treasures the memories of his mother's selflessness and her unwavering support for everyone around her.

For the past 15 years, Shirley embraced life in the north, enjoying the simple pleasures of nature, like feeding the deer. She could often be found solving puzzles, painting rocks, or indulging in her favorite show, NCIS: New Orleans. She was a regular at the casino and cherished her time spent with her beloved dogs, Dixie, Buttercup, Jill, and many others. Mornings were not complete without enjoying a cigarette alongside her coffee, a ritual that brought her comfort.

Shirley's vibrant personality, mixed with her generous spirit, made her a cherished figure in the lives of those fortunate enough to know her. Though she faced her battles with grace, including the heartache of losing her grandson Brandon Levesque and great-granddaughter Sophia, her legacy of love and kindness endures.

Friends and family are invited to gather in celebration of Shirley's life. A Visitation will be held on August 29, 2025, at 12:00 PM followed by A Funeral Service at 3:30 PM at Wysocki Funeral Home, located at 29440 Ryan Rd, Warren, MI 48092.

As we reflect on Shirley's life, we remember the remarkable woman she was—not just for the hardships she faced, but for the immeasurable love she offered, the laughter she brought, and the countless lives she touched. In our hearts, she will always be a beacon of love, reminding us to cherish every moment, hold our loved ones close, and live life with the same wild spirit she so beautifully embodied.
