Mauricio Vinuya, affectionately known as Maury, was born on September 28, 1963, in Pampanga, Philippines. He peacefully passed away on October 12, 2025, in Warren, Michigan, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and love that will be cherished by all who knew him.
Maury was self-employed, providing cleaning services and housekeeping, a vocation that showcased his hard work and dedication. He graduated from high school and continued his education at vocational school, always eager to learn and improve. Outside of his professional life, he enjoyed watching sports and had a passion for science fiction films, which brought him much joy.
Maury was a kind and loving person who spread warmth to his family, relatives, and friends. He was known for his affectionate nature, guiding presence, and unwavering devotion to faith. His God-fearing spirit reflected in the way he treated others, leaving a lasting impression on all those who crossed his path.
He is survived by his loving wife, Daisy, who was his partner and confidant throughout their life together. He is also remembered by his siblings: August, Bernie, Joe, Lourdes, Annie, Nora, and Gio. Additionally, Maury leaves behind brothers and sisters-in-law, including Leony, Paz, Beth, Corina, Myrna, Fred, Joven, Raul, and Marlene. His family extends to many adored aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, and grandchildren, all of whom cherished their time with him deeply.
Maury was preceded in death by his parents, Abelardo and Natividad Vinuya, along with his siblings: Andres, Pedro, Antonio, and Julio. He also joins his sister-in-law, Rose Vinuya.
Visitation will be held on October 17, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Wysocki & Wilk Funeral Home, located at 29440 Ryan Road, Warren, MI. A Rosary will take place at 6:00 PM on the same evening.
His Funeral Mass will be conducted on October 18, 2025, at St. Michael's Catholic Church, which can be found at 40501 Hayes Road, Sterling Heights, MI. The service will begin with visiting at 10:30 AM, followed by Mass at 11:00 AM.
Though Maury is no longer with us, his spirit and the love he shared will continue to thrive in the hearts of his beloved family and friends. He will be missed dearly but will forever remain a source of inspiration and warmth to those fortunate enough to have known him.
