Greg Dueweke, also known as Chooch. A beloved husband, father, uncle, grandfather, and brother passed away at the age of 79 on August 19, 2025. He grew up in Marine City and attended Holy Cross Church, Elementary School, and High School. Later, he moved to Roseville with the love of his life, Jeanette.
Greg was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Evelyn Dueweke, his brother, Mark, and his wife, Jeanette. He is survived by his son, Matt (Tina), daughter, Tammy (Ed), brothers, Vernon and Alan, his nieces, Brandy (Jason) and Stephanie (Zach), and grandchildren, Easton (Becca) and Joe (Hailey).
Greg loved to make people laugh. Whether it was a clever joke, a playful prank, or a funny story from years past, he had a way of making people smile even on the hardest days. He was a kind soul known for his generosity and willingness to help anyone in need. He was a very loving and kind man with a vibrant spirit. He found immense joy in decorating the house, turning it into a place of magic and wonder for family, neighbors, and anyone passing by his Christmas lights and spooky Halloween setups. He poured his heart into every display. He enjoyed going to the U.P. for the scene of the leaves changing color. He was also a man who loved to tinker around the house. No project was too small or too big for him to take on. Creating, fixing, and making things work made him happy. Though our hearts are heavy, we are grateful for the joy, warmth, and laughter he brought into our lives.
