Elizabeth A. Edwards

Elizabeth A. Edwards, affectionately known as Betty, passed away peacefully on November 12, 2025, at the age of 83. Born on July 19, 1942, Betty was a beloved figure whose warmth and compassion left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Betty was the cherished daughter of Joseph and Margaret Syracuse, and she shared a close bond with her siblings, including her late sister Vivian Hritz and her late brother Joseph Syracuse. Betty will be fondly remembered by her surviving sister Margaret Poniatowski. Betty's legacy is further enriched by her marriage to her late husband, James Edwards, with whom she shared countless joyful moments.

Betty's life was filled with love for her family. She is survived by her son, David (Lisa) Mobus, as well as her stepson Dwayne (Tina) Edwards. She will be remembered by her grandchildren: Ronnie, Christopher, Travis, and Andy.

A passionate animal lover, Betty had a special place in her heart for her dog Echo. Her enthusiasm extended to sports, where she was an avid fan of the Pistons Basketball team, always cheering for her favorite players with unwavering support.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects and celebrate Betty's life during the Visitation on November 14, 2025, from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM when a Sharing Service for Betty will begin. Both Visitation and Sharing Service are taking place at Wysocki & Wilk Funeral Home in Warren, Michigan.

Betty will be deeply missed but remembered for her spirit and passion for living life. Those who knew her best will remember her for always staying true to who she was.
