Alfredo Klain, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2025, in Royal Oak, Michigan. He was born on January 21, 1941, in Rio Claro, Brazil, where he spent his early years cultivating a warm, friendly and quite often humorous personality that touched the lives of everyone he met.
For many years, Alfredo dedicated himself to his career as a Tool and Die Maker with Ford Motor Company, a role that came with significant responsibilities. His professional life was marked by his strong work ethic and his deep commitment to precision and excellence, earning him the respect and admiration of his colleagues. Concurrently while working Alfredo continued his educational journey achieving a Master's Degree in Business from Baker College.
Alfredo was blessed with a loving family, including his devoted wife, Wanda, with whom he shared over 60 cherished years of marriage. Together, they created a nurturing home filled with affection, laughter, and countless unforgettable memories. He is survived by his daughter, Erica (Scott) Collins, his son Erich Klain and his daughter Lindsay (Keith) Kurkieriwicz, who carry on his legacy of kindness and love. As a grandfather, Alfredo enjoyed every moment spent with his grandchildren, Quinn Collins, Brady Kurkieriwicz and Drew Kurkieriwicz , who brought immeasurable joy to his life.
Within a close-knit family, Alfredo shared a special bond with his siblings, including Norberto (Maria) Klain, Etvaldo (Isaltina) Klain, Eide (Dirco) De Souza and Ana (Eurides) De Mello. The love between them was profound, and their shared memories will live on in their hearts forever.
Alfredo had a passion for woodworking, always finding solace and joy within the hours spent on many wonderful works of art. When not in his workshop Alfredo would quite often be found cheering for his favorite Brazilian soccer team “Palmeiras”.
Alfredo now joins his parents in eternal rest, where they will forever be together in peace.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 23, from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. Funeral Service at Wysocki & Wilk Funeral Home, 29440 Ryan Road, Warren, Michigan.
