Kathleen E. (Morgan) Gawel

Kathleen "Memaw" Gawel passed away Friday, December 22, 2023, at the age of 79.

She was born on August 30, 1944, in Kansas City, Kansas.  Dearest Mother of Christine (Ricky) Velasco; Memaw of Zachary (Sarah} Velasco, Chad (Erin) Velasco, Jestin (Lucy) Tice, Emily Tice; and aunt of Kevin (Becca) Morgan.  Preceded in death by her husband, Royal Tice, son, Marc Staton, daughters, Karen (Bob) Lokator, Patricia (Rick) Wingat and Sandra (Skip) Holinsworth, and grandson, Scott Holinsworth.

Kathleen lived life to the fullest.  She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids.  She loved animals, especially her grand dogs.  She enjoyed crafting, scrapbooking and taking pictures.  She loved all Detroit sports, but her favorite is the Red Wings.  She was a kind loving person to everyone she met.   She made a positive impact and was a kind soul to anyone she crossed paths with.

A celebration of life will be scheduled in the near future.
