Gladys "Betty" Horeski

Gladys "Betty" Horeski, age 94, passed away August 24, 2019.

Gladys was the beloved wife of the late Raymond N. Horeski; loving mother of the late Andrea Horeski, Bernadette (Michael) Wisniewski, Rodney (Debra) Horeski, and Kevin Horeski and loving companion of Julius Gembarski.  She also had 9 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.  Gladys has one surviving brother, John Wietecha, and is predeceased by her 16 other brothers and sisters.

Gladys was a hard worker, loved her family, and cooked like no one else.  She was a Rosie the Riveter, building planes for the war effort.  In the process, she met the love of her life and husband, Raymond, as she did this service to her country.  She also worked for UniRoyal Tire for 33 years on the production line.  Gladys was a proud mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  She was a great listener and absorbed everything she heard.  Because of this it often seemed like she had a sixth-sense when it came to caring for her family and friends.  All of whom loved to come over for a party or holiday to eat all of her wonderfully prepared food.  Her specialty was her Polish cooking but anything she touched in the kitchen became delicious.

Please join the family for a Memorial Service at 12:00 p.m. Noon Saturday, August 31, with visiting starting at 11:00 a.m. at David Wysocki Funeral Home, 29440 Ryan Road, Warren.
