Elizabeth "Betty" (Francis) Kaptur

Elizabeth "Betty" Kaptur of Sterling Heights, Michigan passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at the age of 84.  She was born November 2, 1934 in Elmira, Michigan to Victor and Frances (nee: Pawlak) Francis.

Betty was the beloved wife of Nicholas Kaptur for 61 years.  Loving mother of Debbie (Archie) Myers, Mark (Kim) Kaptur, Dennis (Patricia) Kaptur, Michele (Michael) Nellis, Nicholas Kaptur, and the late Victoria Kaptur.  Devoted grandmother of Tommy, Jeff, Nichole, Jimmy, Mark, Matt, Michael, Nicole, Matthew, Katelyn, Nicholas, Isabella, Jude, Jacob, and the late Aaron.  Proud great-grandmother of 15.  She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Betty loved her family and friends with all her heart.  She would fill her home with food, family and fun at every gathering, especially during the holidays.  She was also a very good at making arts, crafts, and candy.  She made things for people in her life all the time.  Betty loved her games too, often asking to play a game of poker or going with her friends to the bingo hall.

Visitation for Betty will be on Friday, July 5, from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. Rosary Service at David Wysocki Funeral Home, 29440 Ryan Road, Warren.  Instate, Saturday, July 6, from 9:30 a.m. until the 10:00 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, 38750 Ryan Road, Sterling Heights.

Betty's final days were spent surrounded by loving family that Betty touched in many powerful ways with her wit and feisty personality throughout her memorable life.
